Comunidad Hacker Crea Juegos makes games for learning by playing.
Not "educational" games with a test hidden behind them. Toys: things you can move to see what happens, built on real models, so that what happens is what would happen.
HOW WE MAKE THEM
- Nothing is drawn in advance. Everything you see is computed from the model, so no two worlds are alike and none of them is an illustration of a world.
- The model is real and checkable. The equations are the published ones, with their authors, and the results are compared against measured things: Earth, Mars, Venus.
- If the model answers something inconvenient, we keep it. A game that lies to look pretty teaches the pretty thing and the false thing together.
- You can play without reading. Every quantity appears as a picture, as a bar and as a number, in that order of importance, because a four-year-old is entitled to play with physics.
- It works offline and without an account. A phone should not have to ask anyone's permission for a game to run.
WHAT WE DON'T DO
- No ads.
- No in-app purchases.
- No accounts, no sign-up.
- No data collection: no analytics, no identifiers, no location.
- No system permissions requested.
Our games are free, and free for real: there is nothing inside being sold, neither your attention nor your data.
Our games
We need twelve testers
Crea Planetas is in closed testing. Google Play requires a new game to spend fourteen consecutive days with at least twelve people testing it before it can be published, so right now those twelve people matter more than anything else.
- Join the testers group With the Google account of the phone you will play on.
- Opt in on Google Play The install button then appears. This step errors out if you skipped the first.
It plays in landscape and needs Android 12 or newer. If something goes wrong, saying so is exactly the useful part of testing.
How this is sustained
These games are free for real: no ads, nothing to buy inside, and neither your attention nor your data is for sale. That means nothing inside the game pays for making it, and what keeps it going is the people who decide to chip in from outside.
