Not "educational" games with a test hidden behind them. Toys: things you can move to see what happens, built on real models, so that what happens is what would happen.
HOW WE MAKE THEM
- Nothing is drawn in advance. Everything you see is computed from the model, so no two worlds are alike and none of them is an illustration of a world.
- The model is real and checkable. The equations are the published ones, with their authors, and the results are compared against measured things: Earth, Mars, Venus.
- If the model answers something inconvenient, we keep it. A game that lies to look pretty teaches the pretty thing and the false thing together.
- You can play without reading. Every quantity appears as a picture, as a bar and as a number, in that order of importance, because a four-year-old is entitled to play with physics.
- It works offline and without an account. A phone should not have to ask anyone's permission for a game to run.
WHAT WE DON'T DO
- No ads.
- No in-app purchases.
- No accounts, no sign-up.
- No data collection: no analytics, no identifiers, no location.
- No system permissions requested.
